The Earth, like everything that exists and is immersed in Time, has a history, and this history has become sedimented in its crust.

We recognize geological eras in the natural or artificial cross-sections of this crust.

The passage of living beings and of human beings has also left its marks, which have gradually become sedimented in the territory.

Layers of different civilizations emerge from archaeological excavations.

The Sedimentazioni works seek to recreate, through the superimposition of layers of colour, a texture rich in temporality that re-proposes the intertwining and evolution of the artist’s experiences.

Each passage of colour, each elaboration of a layer, will define the nature and treatment of the following layer, up to the final layer, determined by the author’s decision, arbitrary yet also necessary.
