Uroboros – The Vortex

2013

60×80 cm

Canvas artwork – jute padding – stitched with cordage.
Iron base.

Characterized by sharp contrasts of light and shadow that lend it a strong sense of three-dimensionality, *Uroboros* depicts the serpent devouring its own tail. By simultaneously consuming and constantly regenerating itself, it forms an endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. In this textile sculpture, the bold volumes of the coils intertwine in a swirling motion. It is a ceaseless movement that creates instability and turbulence, evoking a void—a threshold of passage, a channel between past and future, in a perpetual quest for that lost unity with the whole.
