This work depicts the ascending lines of the arterial system soaring upwards in a dynamic motion, connected by an intricate transverse network of the venous and capillary systems. They rise tangentially to the swirling tangle of the viscera—the pulsating, emotional heart of the being. Two opposing yet complementary dynamics are at play: one, spiral in nature, draws the viewer into the depths of the psyche and the infinite, clamorous motion of emotions; the other, an upward movement, leads toward the mind and its complex, rapid connections. Chiaroscuro contrasts lend the work a strong sculptural quality, designed to amplify its energetic lines.
