Lady of animals and nature, cosmic goddess and goddess of fertility: here she is represented as a symbol of nourishment. The maternal stomach-womb is covered with multiple breasts-nipples, which symbolised abundant nourishment for her offspring.

The artist, referring to the symbolic meanings of the goddess – from welcoming to nourishment, from affection to maternal warmth, from sexuality to beauty – highlights how all these factors condition women at a cultural and moral level. A woman who wishes to breastfeed often finds herself living in conflict between the role of woman and that of mother. She is in fact subjected to strong cultural and psychological pressures, where the breast is viewed as a sexual object. Breastfeeding paradoxically appears as an outdated and inappropriate use: a physiological paradox, considering the actual function of the breasts. This occurs despite the inestimable value of natural breastfeeding and its psychological and emotional significance.
